About Me.
I’m Liam Darmody, a tech industry veteran who spent 20 years leading go-to-market operations functions at fast-paced startups prior to starting my own consultancy.
This rich experience provided me with a front-row seat to the exhilarating world of small to medium-sized tech companies, the immense potential they hold, and the unique challenges they face. I also fell in love with the storytelling behind them.
While on a paternity leave in 2019, I started to consciously build a personal brand on LinkedIn. Fast forward four years, and my casual hobby has morphed into a following of 35,000 and a place in LinkedIn's inaugural Creator Accelerator Program.
My passion for brand building eventually resulted in a career pivot, paving the way to my last role in brand marketing & content strategy for a software consultancy that was acquired for $1.2 billion two years later.
In July 2023, I decided to follow my fascination and take the leap into entrepreneurship by launching Liam's Brand Stand, a consultancy that channels my industry experience, brand building skills, and passion into winning strategies for executives and the teams they lead.
Although Canadian-born, I’ve lived in the United States for nearly three decades, calling Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington, DC home before settling in my current town of Apex, North Carolina with my wife, Megan, and two kids, Brooks and PJ.
When I’m not working or hanging out on Linkedin, you can find me hanging at the pool, smoking BBQ low & slow, or sampling spicy hot sauces.
